About us

No one can tell the story of Ohaozara better than we, the Ohaozara People ourselves. This website is a living digital archive — a heritage platform designed to preserve, document, and celebrate the histories, traditions and cultures of the people and land of Ohaozara Obodoisii.

For generations, the stories of our ancestors have been passed down through oral traditions, songs, folklores, and communal memories. Today, we transform those timeless narratives into a digital library accessible to both present and future.

The Ohaozara People website serves as a repository knowledge, chronicling the origins, achievements, lineage, customs, and evolving identity of our six great towns — Oshiri, Uburu, Isu, Ugwulangwu, Okposi, and Onicha. This platform is more than a website; it is our collective memory — a bridge between the wisdom of our ancestors and the aspirations of our descendants. By telling our story in our own voice, we ensure that the world knows who we are, where we come from, and what we stand for.
Ohaozara is not only a place — it is a people, a spirit, and a legacy that stands as a beacon of Igbo heritage – proud of its past, confident in its present, and hopeful for its future.
